Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

About This Role

This Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst role supports decision-making processes by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting financial data. The position involves preparing financial reports, contributing to budgeting and forecasting, and identifying variances. It suits an analyst who can work with AI tools to automate tasks and improve reporting efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to support decision-making processes
• Prepare and maintain detailed monthly reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate financial performance
• Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts by analyzing historical data and current trends
• Assist in identifying and explaining variances between actual results and budgets/forecasts
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis as required
• Identify and implement process improvements within the FP&A function
• Build and maintain AI-driven tools, prompts, and workflows (e.g. using Claude) to automate recurring FP&A tasks and improve reporting efficiency
• Support the team with ad-hoc research on market trends, competitor performance, and industry benchmarks
• Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting accuracy
• Work closely with other departments to gather inputs and ensure alignment on financial metrics

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent Excel skills (including financial modeling)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Business level proficiency in English or above (equivalent to B2 or above)

Nice to have:

• 2-3 years of experience in FP&A or accounting
• Experience with financial reporting systems
• Familiarity with IFRS
• Familiarity with NetSuite and Tableau
• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g. Claude)
