About the role

Responsibilities of the Financial Associate include but are not limited to:

  • Provides valuable contributions to the Claims team and helps the department succeed
  • Enters and inputs claims into the claims information system for all prize levels and pays prizewinners
  • Processes check requests from regional offices and customers
  • Verifies accuracy of claims data and revises any errors
  • Prepares information related to prizewinner claims
  • Inputs claims information into Excel spreadsheets
  • Conducts basic reconciliations
  • Answers phone calls and correspondence from internal and external customers and assists them in answering their question/concerns
  • Validates lottery tickets for payment using OLC gaming terminals
  • Verifies federal and state tax withholdings
  • Processes and opens incoming mail from customers, regional offices and racinos
  • Performs other duties and works on special projects

Qualifications

18 months experience or 18 months training in accounting &/or finance to include a basic level of experience in spreadsheet software.

  • Or completion of high school technical program in accounting; 6 months experience or 6 months training in accounting or finance to include a basic level of experience in spreadsheet software.

  • Or completion of associate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field.

  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
