About This Role
The Financial Analyst for Financial Planning and Analysis will create accurate business reports and provide innovative solutions. You will prepare statements and period-end reports, and reconcile and analyze accounts accordingly. This role suits a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational abilities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial information, including proformas for rebids
- Leverage technology to streamline current workflows
- Improve data flows through innovative solutions
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the Finance/Accounting department
- Prepare financial statements and period-end reporting, with variance analysis
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
- Partner with the operations team in day-to-day activities to guide them to meet their financial targets
- Reconcile and analyze accounts as required
- Document items as required, such as business requirements, issues and decision logs, and stakeholder training and presentations
- Work on ad hoc projects as required
Requirements
- Business, Accounting, or Finance Degree working towards a CPA designation
- Full knowledge of financial principles
- 2+ years of Financial Analyst experience in Canada
- Detail oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Ability to take the initiative and work independently and/or in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to learn new software applications
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
