Financial Analyst - Financial Planning & Analysis

About This Role

The Financial Analyst is responsible for developing monthly reports with a focus on operating trend and variance analyses. This position involves performing various ad hoc analyses and creating complex financial models for projects, developments, and investment opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for various ad hoc analyses and development of complex financial models associated with different projects/developments/investment opportunities
• Assists the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager with the development of the operating budget
• Monthly reporting on all aspects of the operation including, but not limited to, Slot Report, Table Games Report and the Report on Operations
• Observes and monitors operating results to determine business trends
• Performs ad hoc analyses based on operational trends, economic trends, or competitive developments, when necessary
• Assists in the evaluation of potential business opportunities and strategic initiatives
• Performs post analysis of Arena shows and other events to assess overall property impact and profitability
• Performs labor analysis with the use of key volume indicators to ensure proper staffing to maximize customer service levels while ensuring profitability
• Data Entry
• Floor Observations

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Business Management or a related field
• At least one year of analytical experience preferably in a high volume, complex casino environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong critical thinking skills, particularly for problem solving and trend identification
• Strong analytical, communication and financial presentation skills
• Must be able to multitask and adhere to strict deadlines
