Financial Analysis & Planning Analyst

About This Role

This role is for a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst responsible for the daily operations of the FP&A Department, including forecasting, monthly closing, variance analysis, and annual budgeting. The position involves collaborating with commercial, factory, and accounting teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly forecasting processes, working with cross-functional teams to gather information and assumptions
• Load official forecasts into the HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) system
• Analyze regional business results to identify trends and significant variances, suggesting corrective actions to improve profitability and growth
• Build and optimize FP&A processes and related systems
• Use financial forecasting and modeling techniques to project regional financial performance
• Support regional leadership in developing and executing plans to close gaps through operational adjustments
• Perform in-depth analysis of the group's performance on P&L, B/S, working capital efficiency, cash flow management, pricing, and other key efficiency indicators
• Analyze financial results/trends against the regional business plan or benchmarks and create actionable suggestions for business improvements
• Manage forecast deliverables and submission to global by working closely with the commercial team
• Interface and work closely with the factory on S&OP to assess backlog and sales forecasting
• Update weekly dashboards for the commercial team
• Analyze financial information to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations (Risk & Opportunities) to management for decision-making
• Conduct scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making and evaluate the financial impact of various initiatives
• Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to regional and senior leadership
• Provide financial support in the regions aimed at achieving the company’s financial and operational objectives
• Support commercial teams in developing and executing the regional commercial business plan
• Work collaboratively with operations leadership to create an overall regional business plan
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to understand their financial needs and provide guidance
• Provide support on ad hoc analytical and reporting projects, such as handling operational integration of acquired entities, new business initiatives, and the launch of new entities
• Lead annual budgeting processes, working closely with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information and assumptions
• Build and own budget planning templates for the budgeting process
• Manage budget load into HFM for P&L, working capital, and Balance sheet
