Financial Advisor

About This Role

The Financial Advisor guides households through every stage of their financial lives, from building wealth to living on it. This role involves leading discovery conversations, presenting comprehensive plans, and building long-term relationships with the families served.

Responsibilities

• Conduct discovery and Match Meetings to understand each household’s income needs, assets, timeline and goals
• Build and present comprehensive financial plans across income, investments, taxes, healthcare and insurance, and legacy
• Deliver retirement income planning, including Florida Retirement System (FRS) pension and federal and military retirement benefit decisions
• Coordinate with the firm’s tax and estate planning partners so each client’s plan is fully integrated
• Hold annual and life-event reviews and keep plans current as circumstances change
• Represent the firm at client events and educational workshops in the Jacksonville market

Requirements

• An active Series 65, or Series 66 with Series 7. Registration is a condition of client-facing advisory work
• At least 3 years of experience in financial planning, retirement planning or a client-facing wealth management role
• Working knowledge of investment management, retirement income planning, Social Security, Medicare and tax-efficient distribution
• Clear, warm communication that makes complex financial topics understandable
• The humility to master a proven process, and the drive to grow within it
• A clean regulatory and compliance record

Nice to have:

• CFP® designation or progress toward it
• Florida 2-15 Life, Health and Variable Annuity license
• Experience with FRS, TSP or military retirement benefits
