Financial Advisor

About This Role

The Financial Advisor develops and maintains a customer portfolio, providing comprehensive financial planning for clients. This role is responsible for prospecting new customers and cross-selling banking services.

Responsibilities

• Prospect new customers and solicit new business with assistance from a Financial Advisor Officer or manager
• Cross-sell other banking services to new and existing customers
• Maintain ongoing customer contact to ensure good customer relations
• Assist with comprehensive financial planning for clients and periodic client review
• Be in compliance, following all policies and procedures
• Participate in department meetings
• Participate in civic and community organizations, representing the bank while following personal interests
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Knowledge of securities and investment products, policies and procedures
• Knowledge of financial planning for individuals and businesses
• Knowledge of sales and marketing practices and principles
• Skill in communicating with customers and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner
• Skill in problem solving
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Ability to work within strict time constraints and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Series 7 and Series 66 Licensed Required
