About This Role
This is a finance-first role for someone who enjoys numbers, ownership, and problem-solving, taking charge of the daily accounting engine. The position offers a front-row seat to the development of an early-stage company, working with external partners while internally ensuring financial operations are completed.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting, vendor payments, reimbursements, bank reconciliations, and maintain clean books
- Handle GST end-to-end: workings, reconciliations, input tax credit checks, return data, and coordination for timely filings
- Manage TDS end-to-end: calculations, deductions, payments, reconciliations, and return data
- Perform monthly closing, basic MIS, cash-flow, and expense reporting for the founders
- Provide payroll inputs and onboard people-operations processes as the team grows
- Maintain a compliance tracker and coordinate with CA, CS, and legal partners
Requirements

- Experience with GST and TDS
- Understanding of accounting basics and ability to reconcile numbers
- Comfortable with Excel / Google Sheets and accounting software like Zoho or Tally
- Precise with money and deadlines, but practical enough to work in a fast-moving environment
- Takes ownership: knows who to chase, what to check, and how to close pending tasks
- Spots gaps, asks the right questions, and closes the loop instead of waiting to be told
Benefits
- Real ownership: own the accounting engine end-to-end
- Front-row seat: observe how finance connects with business decisions, compliance, hiring, cash management, fundraising, and investors
- Room to grow: deeper finance ownership, stronger controls, and more business exposure; help build the function rather than inherit one
