About the Role
Reporting directly to senior management, the Finance Manager will oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting activities across multiple SEA markets. This is a highly visible role that requires a hands-on and adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting business growth, improving financial processes, and leading a small finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions, including month-end closing, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of management reports and financial analysis for senior management
- Support regional business expansion initiatives across Southeast Asia, including financial planning, operational setup, and compliance matters
- Oversee statutory reporting, tax compliance, audits, and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and enhance operational efficiency
- Partner closely with business stakeholders to provide commercial insights and support strategic decision-making
- Monitor working capital, treasury activities, and financial performance across regional operations
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Assist with ad hoc projects, system implementations, and business transformation initiatives as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred
- 0 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, ideally gained within fast-growing SMEs, start-ups, or dynamic multinational environments
- Experience supporting regional operations or multi-country entities within Southeast Asia is highly advantageous
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial controls and compliance requirements
- Hands-on approach with the ability to roll up sleeves and manage both strategic and operational responsibilities
- Proven people management experience with the ability to coach and develop team members
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
