Finance Manager - Enterprise Project Finance

About This Role

Reporting to the Senior Relationship Manager, Enterprise Project Finance, this role provides end-to-end project financial support to an assigned project portfolio. The position involves developing business case financials, facilitating project planning and forecasting, and providing insightful reporting and analysis. This role suits a finance professional with strong analytical skills and an understanding of project accounting.

Responsibilities

• Perform the role of financial controller to the assigned portfolio(s)
• Work with business sponsors, project managers, and segment finance to develop and review business case financials
• Provide financial expertise and oversight to ensure financial and accounting standards are followed and properly reflected in business cases
• Manage financial aspects of project tracking and reporting for the assigned portfolio, ensuring alignment to monthly/annual fiscal budget
• Deliver financial/strategic analysis and insights for senior executive/management teams, transforming data from various financial sources into meaningful and actionable recommendations
• Support month-end close activities, including variance analysis and issue resolution in partnership with Finance Operations
• Provide input to Technology and Segment finance teams for monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting, and annual planning
• Participate in the annual portfolio planning and financial forecast cycles
• Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders (Segment Finance Partners, TS, Operations, Shared Services, PDG, Business Management, Governance, etc.)
• Provide thought leadership and drive change by improving governance and processes and building strong relationships with key business partners
• Promote a positive work environment that encourages productivity, innovation, creativity, teamwork, and delivering meaningful advice which adds value to the overall decision making
• Act as subject matter expert on processes and controls around project authorizations, business cases, FPT, and tracking of the financial impact of projects

Requirements

• Skilled in financial planning, analytics, and project costing/business cases
• Ability to prepare clear and concise analysis/reporting to support decision making
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lead, influence, negotiate, and take decisions
• Strong relationship building skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a relatively unstructured environment while meeting deadlines
• Understanding of accounting guidelines and rules, including project accounting
• Strong business acumen with a “value-added” mindset
• Ability to consolidate information into meaningful analysis, providing clear/concise analysis and recommended actions
