POSITION TITLE Finance Manager
Position Summary In this position, you will lead the overall finance function during a critical business expansion phase in the U.S., establishing financial governance, planning processes, accounting operations, compliance frameworks, and operational controls while partnering closely with global finance leadership, serving as a strategic business partner to management, and supporting long-term business growth.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with global finance teams and external service providers to ensure effective financial operations and governance
- Oversee the full scope of finance and related functions, including IT
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities and tax filings
- Prepare and deliver statutory, tax, management, and external financial reports
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and mid-term planning processes
- Provide insights and recommendations on financial risks and opportunities
- Ensure compliance with internal approval frameworks and governance requirements
- Support internal audit and compliance-related activities
- Partner with management to support strategic decision-making and business expansion
- Oversee IT and system-related processes
- Support cross-functional initiatives including supply chain and logistics operations
- Build financial structures, processes, and governance foundations for a newly established U.S. entity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- 7+ years of relevant finance experience
- Strong knowledge of FP&A, accounting, and financial reporting
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP or equivalent)
- Tax filing experience
- Professional accounting qualification preferred (CPA or equivalent)
- Native-level English and Japanese language proficiency
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving business environment
- Flexibility to take on a broad range of responsibilities in a newly established organization
