Finance Assistant

About This Role

Supporting the daily financial operations of the company's Malaysian entities is the core of this role, assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions. It suits a detail-oriented individual eager to learn and contribute to accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day accounting functions of our Malaysia entities
• Support Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and journal entries
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, official receipts, and supporting documentation
• Assist with bank reconciliations and month-end closing activities
• Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with customer payment follow-ups
• Maintain accurate and well-organised accounting records using SQL Accounting and Google Drive
• Assist with expense checking, transaction processing, and account reconciliations
• Support the Finance Manager and accounting-related duties as required

Requirements

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent qualification
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
• Exposure to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or general accounting is an advantage
• Familiarity with SQL Accounting System is preferred but not mandatory
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace, including Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Drive
• Responsible, detail-oriented, organised, and willing to learn
• Able to work independently on assigned tasks and meet deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
