Field Service Technician - Heavy Diesel Technician

About This Role

This Field Service Technician role involves diagnosing, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy diesel engines at customer sites. The team specializes in heavy vehicle service, repairs, and maintenance across high-horsepower mining and industrial applications, delivering a first-class service to mining customers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, complete preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and perform moderately complex repairs to engines at customer sites
• Deliver a first-class service to mining customers as a travelling Field Service Technician
• Perform breakdown and preventative tasks
• Deliver support for new Tier 4 HHP engines after receiving full Cummins technical training

Requirements

• Relevant trade qualification (Plant or Heavy Commercial Vehicle/Heavy Diesel)
• A valid driver
• Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, mining equipment, engines, and similar applications is preferred
• Able to work unsupervised
• You will need a locally valid driving permit

Important Details

• Schedule: 40 hours per week
• On call roster when required
• Able to work long hours including overtime when required
• Travel: Up to 50% domestic travel as required
