Field Service Technician

About This Role

This vital and rewarding role involves installing, debugging, and providing technical maintenance for product and component hardware and software, primarily at customer locations. The technician performs scheduled inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs within an assigned territory, ensuring customer satisfaction and understanding of product functionality.

Responsibilities

• Install, debug, and provide technical maintenance for product and component hardware and software on customer premises
• Provide scheduled inspection, cleaning, and other services
• Perform minor product repairs within an assigned territory
• Inspect products for correct operation and resolve noted issues or escalate according to established procedure
• Schedule services and complete all required paperwork
• Work with customers to ensure satisfaction with service delivery and understanding of product functionality
• Utilize diagnostic tools to perform troubleshooting via detailed analysis of hardware and software failures
• Perform hardware repairs on a component level
• Clean and adjust mechanical components
• Configure and install applicable software
• Perform routine checks according to documented procedures
• Refill consumables as directed
• Install, move, add, change, and remove hardware and software products
• Instruct and train customers on usage and operation of installed hardware and software
• Participate in regular hardware and software trainings (on the job, classroom, and web-based)
• Participate in the implementation of measures to achieve agreed KPIs
• Assist with special projects as assigned

Requirements

• Education or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Field Services
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Driver's license and driving record that satisfies DN's fleet requirements
