Field Service Engineer

About This Role

This field service engineering role supports the installation, qualification, repair, and maintenance of ASML systems at customer sites. The Field Service Engineer performs regular basic, predefined maintenance and diagnostic activities under supervision, ensuring the necessary transfer of know-how to the customer.

Responsibilities

• Gather all information relevant for a problem
• Analyze problems using defined means and gather additional diagnostic information if needed
• Execute initial approaches to solve problems as determined by senior engineers and with close guidance from others
• Handover problems or problem aspects to experienced first-line support
• Document all data relevant for problems (e.g., pass-downs, work orders, field service reports, system problem reports, technical reports)
• Use tools, replace parts, and improve settings to execute repairs per the guidance provided by experienced team members
• Arrange for all possible parts, tools, equipment, and information/knowledge to be available at the start of a procedure, based on arranged customer machine time windows
• Execute procedures under the guidance from experienced team members
• Explain appropriate actions to users to correct malfunctions and perform routine maintenance of equipment
• Recommend changes in user procedures when needed
• Share own findings and ways of working with the rest of the team

Requirements

• BS degree in a relevant technical field (Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, etc.) or equivalent experience
