Field Service Engineer

About This Role

This field service engineering role involves working autonomously to maintain and repair industrial compressed air equipment, acting as a key point of contact for customers. The position suits a candidate with strong mechanical skills, a commitment to excellent service, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, maintenance, breakdown response, and fault-finding activities
• Conduct major overhauls and repairs on customers' compressed air equipment
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Atlas Copco's health and safety policies and procedures
• Service and maintain equipment safely, efficiently, and within agreed timeframes to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional and reliable service delivery

Requirements

• Minimum Level 4 Trade Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred)
• At least 3 years' mechanical experience or 2 years' diagnostic experience
• Previous experience in a field service environment
• Strong mechanical and fault-finding capabilities
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a geographically dispersed team
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Good computer literacy, including the ability to complete service and time reporting
• Current, clean driver's licence
• Flexibility to participate in an on-call roster and travel as required
