As a Field Maintenance Specialist, you will serve as the primary technical expert for commercial laundry systems, ensuring optimal performance for our diverse client base. You will leverage your expertise in mechanical and electrical diagnostics to resolve complex equipment issues while building lasting professional relationships that drive customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and perform comprehensive repairs on commercial washers, dryers, and ironers to maximize operational uptime.
- Execute precise installations of replacement components and assist in large-scale equipment deployment projects.
- Maintain accurate digital records of all service activities, parts usage, and travel logs to ensure operational transparency.
- Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to streamline the procurement of necessary parts and technical support.
- Provide clear, professional communication to clients regarding repair status and preventative maintenance recommendations.
- Ensure the consistent upkeep and organization of your assigned service vehicle and professional toolset.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on mechanical repair experience.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing instruments and diagnostic software.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical schematics and diagrams.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as kneeling, bending, and climbing.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience servicing commercial laundry or similar industrial equipment.
- Experience with digital ticketing systems and dispatch software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook and Excel.
- Strong self-management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines in a field-based environment.
