Role Description
The Fashion Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami Dadeland, FL, responsible for delivering a personalized and elevated shopping experience to every client. This role involves greeting and engaging customers, understanding their style preferences, and providing expert fashion guidance across apparel, accessories, and luxury brands. The Fashion Consultant will curate looks, make product recommendations, and support styling sessions to help clients build wardrobes for everyday wear, special occasions, and seasonal updates. Daily responsibilities include maintaining in-depth product and trend knowledge, ensuring visually appealing displays, and supporting merchandising standards on the sales floor. The role also includes meeting sales goals, building and nurturing client relationships, following up with customers through clienteling tools, and collaborating with store teammates to support events and brand activations while upholding Saks Global service standards.
Qualifications
- Strong fashion consulting abilities, including Fashion Consulting and Product Knowledge, with an understanding of luxury brands, trends, fit, and styling.
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills, with the ability to actively listen, build rapport, and create a welcoming, inclusive experience for diverse clients.
- Proven Sales skills, including consultative selling, upselling, and cross-selling, with a goal-oriented approach and comfort working toward individual and team targets.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment, including time management, organization, and attention to visual merchandising and store presentation.
- Comfort using point-of-sale systems and digital tools for clienteling, appointment scheduling, and follow-up communication.
- Prior experience in luxury retail, fashion styling, or personal shopping is preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move around the sales floor, with a schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
