Family Nurse Practitioner

About This Role

This full-time opportunity is for a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide patient-focused care in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment. The role involves leading a small team and treating patients of all ages, utilizing the full scope of practice, and is suitable for new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice
• Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues
• Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.)
• Perform suturing
• Perform splinting
• Conduct general orthopedic evaluations/management
• Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too)
• Provide general dermatology care
• Address general eye problems
• Interpret general EKGs
• Utilize emergency management skills
• Provide general GYN expertise
• Treat children of all ages
• Provide occupational medicine services
• Conduct telemedicine appointments

Requirements

• Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required
• MSN, or higher education required (new graduate friendly!)
• DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers the cost of certification)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have:

• Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.)

Important Details

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, working 7 out of 14 days (about 2 weeks)
• Clinic hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
