About the role
Role Overview: The Family Nurse Practitioner is responsible for delivering high-quality healthcare in both clinic and virtual settings, ensuring patient satisfaction and safety. They lead clinical staff, perform assessments, develop diagnoses, prescribe medications, and interpret diagnostic tests while adhering to protocols and regulations. The role requires flexibility, quick response to patient needs, and effective communication with patients and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care in in-person and telehealth environments, meeting patient volume goals.
- Lead and guide clinic staff to ensure excellent patient care and professional service.
- Review patient histories, symptoms, allergies, and medications; formulate diagnoses; deliver diagnostic and therapeutic recommendations.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests; prescribe medications; educate patients on treatment plans.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation, compliance with clinical and legal standards, including HIPAA.
- Implement clinical protocols, attend mandatory training, and participate in team and community activities.
- Support new employee onboarding and foster a positive, respectful team environment.
- Maintain licensure and certifications, including DEA and DOT where applicable; work in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, with on-call responsibilities for certain providers.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) and active Family Nurse Practitioner license.
- 1-2 years of relevant clinical experience preferred, such as urgent care, ER, or family practice.
- Current DEA license; DOT certification within 120 days of employment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills; ability to adapt to evolving protocols.
- Preferred experience with telehealth platforms.
