Duties
Assist park in fully implementing and executing an Asset Management Program (AMP). Provides technical support on all aspects of Facility Management Software System/Facility Condition Assessment System (FMSS/FCAS) database software used to track and manage data. Monitors all FMSS data entered into the system and makes any required changes. Establishes, maintains, and updates a computerized inventory of fixed property and schedules condition inspections. Routinely compares, completes and analyzes reports of work requested comparing planned actions versus actual accomplishments. Utilizes FMSS and related software programs to compile, organize, and track all data collected to support the Park's Asset Management Program. Collects and analyzes data from a variety of maintenance programs such as FMSS, Project Management Information System (PMIS), Administrative Finance System (AFS), and Planning, Environment, and Public Comment (PEPC), by establishing and maintaining computerized data management and reporting systems. Works closely with project developers to prepare accurate work orders and cost estimates using the Cost Estimating Software System (CESS). Develops quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures and monitors accuracy of data. Prepares, reviews, and evaluates reports prepared from computerized and manual data and monitors accuracy of data. Prepares, reviews, and evaluates reports prepared from computerized and manual data management programs. Provides training and guidance on FMSS program to various park staff. This position also performs some duties of a visitor use assistant, including collecting and accounting for fees, and preparing deposits.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position at the GS-06 grade level, you must possess all of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
GS-06 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in the federal service. Specialized experience demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: establishing standing work orders in an organization's operations with estimates for personnel, supplies, materials, and equipment needed to complete the identified work; input data such as the organization's hierarchy of locations, assets, personnel, equipment inventory, vendors, budget and account information into a program database and independently verify the accuracy of this information; generate inspection documents for all organizational assets; prepare cost estimates for asset deficiencies, or similar administrative duties. -or- EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION: One year (18 semester credits) of post graduate education directly related to the work of the position, such as Business Administration; for which a Bachelor's degree is the normal prerequisite. -or- SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION: Combination of education and experience. NOTE: When combining experience and education they should be computed as percentages of the overall requirements and must equal 100 percent when combined. Only education in excess of a four year degree (Bachelor's degree), directly related to the work of the position is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One half academic year of study (9 semester hours) beyond a Bachelor's degree is equivalent to 12 months of specialized experience.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
You must include months, years and hours per week worked to receive credit for your work and/or volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as "varies".
Education
To qualify based on education, you must submit a legible copy of transcripts from an accredited institution with your name, school name, credit hours, course level, major(s), and grade-point average or class ranking. Transcripts do not need to be official, but if you are selected for this position and you used your education to qualify, you must provide official transcripts before you begin work.
If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet qualification requirements, you must show that your education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
