Role Description The Facilities Night Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Charlotte, NC, responsible for overseeing cleaning and janitorial operations during evening and overnight shifts. This role includes supervising night staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring all scheduled carpet cleaning, floor care, and facility sanitation services are completed to company standards. The Facilities Night Manager conducts walkthroughs, monitors quality, responds to on-site issues, and coordinates with daytime management on staffing, supplies, and work orders. Additional responsibilities include training team members on safety and cleaning procedures, maintaining equipment readiness, documenting shift activities, and supporting a safe, secure work environment in client facilities.
Qualifications
- Experience in facilities management, janitorial supervision, or related building maintenance leadership roles.
- Strong organizational skills, including shift planning, task prioritization, and time management.
- Ability to lead teams effectively, provide clear direction, and coach staff for performance and quality.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices, carpet and floor care, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Comfort working night shifts on-site in Charlotte, NC, with reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with clients, team members, and management.
- Commitment to workplace safety, including adherence to OSHA and company safety guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in facilities or cleaning services are a plus.
- Previous experience in customer-facing service environments is beneficial.
