Facilities Maintenance Attendant

About This Role

This role is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and overall cleanliness of a golf club's facilities, ensuring all areas meet high standards of functionality, safety, and appearance. It suits an individual with proactive attention to detail in maintaining indoor and outdoor spaces to provide an exceptional environment for members and guests. The attendant handles routine maintenance tasks, addresses repairs, and collaborates with other departments to resolve facility-related issues promptly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain carpets clean by vacuuming and spot cleaning where necessary
• Keep all floors swept, mopped, and polished, including courts, exercise rooms, stairwells, lobby and hallway areas, restrooms, and any other areas needed
• Dust and wipe down furniture, shelves, chair arms, desks, credenzas, chandeliers, pictures, televisions, woodwork, and artwork, including all ceiling HVAC registers
• Complete daily assignments in respective areas to meet club standards and communicated expectations (i.e., orderly/organized work areas, straighten/arrange entry area, picking up trash/debris, etc.)
• Perform or contract facility maintenance and housekeeping repairs and maintenance including, but not limited to electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, building equipment, carpentry, flooring, walls, ceilings, special projects, and other related areas
• Maintain a maintenance and project checklist/schedule for preventive maintenance and ongoing improvements
• Communicate effectively with supervisor to coordinate, prioritize, document, and complete work requests from Department Heads, members, and guests
• Assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management
• Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff
• Follow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same
• Take the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role
• Address and resolve challenges using available resources, working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations
• Attend daily briefings and actively engage in required activities to stay informed and contribute to the team’s success

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in general facility, property maintenance, or golf club environment

Nice to have:

• Experience in performing minor repairs, painting, plumbing, or other related maintenance tasks
• Previous training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and building maintenance
