1 Role Purpose

The Facilities Engineer evaluates facility performance compression separation pipelines to identify capacity constraints and optimization opportunities. This role supports a defined subset of design calculations equipment evaluations and debottlenecking studies as directed by senior engineers.

Working closely with operations, the engineer analyzes real-time and historical data to recommend efficiency improvements, support capacity planning, and recommend facility modifications.

This role does not perform field work; it provides remote analytical support and engineering documentation enabling field teams to optimize facility operations.

2 Supervision Reporting Structure

Senior Facilities Engineers provide technical guidance, assign studies, review deliverables.

Administrative Oversight
Supplier Team Lead

Manages workload and reporting. Does not approve engineering deliverables.

3 Core Responsibilities

3.1 System Analysis Optimization

• Production systems surveillance assessing for anomalies and then assisting in building automatic detection capability
• Evaluate compression and separation systems performance efficiency capacity utilization
• Analyze separation and treating facility performance
• Identify capacity constraints limiting production throughput
• Recommend operational adjustments and equipment modifications
• Assess individual components valves PSVs instrumentation for performance design selection etc
• Perform RCFA to recommend design or operating improvements
• Develop facility capacity models

3.2 Design Support

• Support minor facility modifications through engineering calculations
• Size equipment for replacement or upgrade scenarios
• Evaluate vendor proposals and equipment specifications
• Prepare engineering deliverables for Change Management platform packages
• Review and validate engineering work from others

3.3 Documentation Reporting

• Prepare facility performance reports and recommendations
• Maintain facility capacity databases and models
• Document engineering analyses with clear assumptions
• Support capital planning with equipment condition assessments
• Contribute to lessons-learned documentation

5 Qualifications

5.1 Required

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Chemical or Petroleum Engineering
• Minimum 4 years in facilities engineering for oil gas
• Experience with compression and separation system analysis
• Proficiency with process simulation ProMax HYSYS or equivalent
• Ability to perform equipment sizing and evaluation calculations
• Understanding of pipeline hydraulics
• Fluent English CEFR B2
• Reliable internet connection

5.2 Preferred

• Unconventional shale production facilities experience
• Compressor vibration analysis background
• ProMax HYSYS advanced modeling
• Familiarity with condition monitoring systems
• Change Management platform process experience
• Managed services engineering background
