Facilities Director

About This Role

Directing the maintenance and overall appearance of The Highlands is the core of this highly visible position. The role involves supervising facilities staff, coordinating capital projects, and ensuring all association buildings and equipment are in proper working condition.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall appearance and proper working conditions of the Association buildings and equipment (excluding golf maintenance equipment) in and around the clubhouse, including the parking lots, sports courts, pool and roads in the community
• Coordinate and supervise capital projects along with the Community Manager
• Create relationships with vendors and schedule their services as appropriate
• Maintain and repair association facilities (e.g., electrical, plumbing, paint, AV)
• Implement and manage Highlands Northstar Maintenance Software
• Prioritize and delegate all maintenance requests, order or resource parts and schedule contractors
• Supervise facilities staff
• Train employees regarding safe operation of equipment and working conditions under OSHA standards
• Attend IFC, FAC and Board meetings as necessary
• Manage independent cleaning contractors for the facility
• Abide by all Highlands policies and procedures
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, Bachelor’s or Trade Certification preferred
• 5 years maintenance experience preferred
• Pima County pool certification required
• Demonstrated electrical and plumbing experience
