About the role
Position Summary
We are seeking a responsive, automotive-savvy Customer Service & Lead Representative to manage incoming customer inquiries across social marketplace channels for a US automotive parts business. You will be the first point of contact for buyers asking about parts inventory, answering questions quickly and accurately and passing sales-ready leads to the internal sales team.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM Eastern Time
Key Responsibilities
- Marketplace Messaging: Monitor and respond promptly to buyer messages, comments, and inquiries across social commerce platforms.
- Lead Qualification: Identify high-intent buyers and transfer sales-ready leads to the sales team.
- Customer Assistance: Provide accurate information on part availability, condition, specs, and pricing.
- Compatibility Checks: Use basic automotive knowledge to confirm year, make, model fitment and answer preliminary questions.
- Tracking: Keep chat histories and lead hand-offs organised so no inquiry is missed.
- Brand Representation: Maintain a professional, polite, helpful tone in all customer-facing interactions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Hands-on experience or strong background knowledge in automotive parts, salvage, or repair.
- Previous experience with social media customer support or live chat in an e-commerce or retail environment.
- Strong, clear written English with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to recognise buying signals and guide customers through the lead conversion funnel.
- Available during US Eastern business hours.
- Quick to learn internal inventory software and communication tools.
- Reliable, focused, and comfortable working remotely.
Preferred Qualities
- Experience managing Facebook Marketplace or similar social selling channels.
- Interest in a stable, long-term role.
