Fabricator

About This Role

Preparing and fabricating stainless steel components based on blueprints is the core of this fabricator role. The position involves working with various tools and welding techniques to create welded assemblies, contributing to a growing nationwide brand.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret part prints to determine specific welding requirements
• Prepare/fabricate stainless steel components for welding using saws, drills, mills, and grinders
• Set up welding machines according to Welding Procedure Specifications
• Use MIG and TIG welders to complete welded assemblies per prints
• Organize and maintain work area to 5S standards
• Follow all safety rules and quality standards
• Provide great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
• Work with other team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
• Assist in other areas within the business as needed
• Other duties as assigned; duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and training
• Ability to pass and operate within AWS D 1.6 and D1.3 Qualifications
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools
• Ability to operate forklift, Aerial platform, and overhead crane
• Technical savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office; experience within database systems a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Process-oriented and strong collaborator with ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and across various departments
• Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask and prioritize workload
• Highly adaptable with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to exercise good judgment and make sound data-backed decisions

• Work with heavy and technical equipment, lift 50 - 70 lbs, go up heights on ladder
