Our client She Edge is looking for a Fabric Preparation & Embroidery Program Coordinator in Lahore
She Edge is seeking a disciplined and system-oriented Fabric Room & Embroidery Program Controller to manage fabric preparation before embroidery operations. In this role, you ensure that all fabric is inspected, measured, cut according to program specifications, bundled, labeled, and delivered promptly to the embroidery machines or external units. Your focus is on maintaining complete control over fabric quantities, including originals, repeats, backups, shortages, rejections, returns, and remaining inventory, ensuring smooth production flow without interruptions. This position is key to production control and goes beyond basic fabric storekeeping.
The ideal candidate brings a minimum of two years of relevant experience in textile factories, embroidery units, or production control departments. You will coordinate effectively with fashion designers, digitizing teams, embroidery units, fabric stores, and production teams. Your strong planning, recordkeeping, and numerical skills allow you to manage multiple embroidery programs simultaneously while maintaining strict adherence to fabric lot segregation and program accuracy, contributing to minimized wastage and machine downtime. This role emphasizes timely fabric delivery, accurate tracking, and precise reconciliation of physical and system records.
Responsibilities
- Receive and interpret approved program details including designs, color quantities, and cutting instructions to plan fabric usage.
- Oversee and supervise fabric cutting ensuring all garment panels such as fronts, backs, sleeves, necks, dupattas, and trousers are accurately prepared according to program specifications.
- Create and label program-wise fabric bundles containing design codes, color, quantity, fabric lot, and destination information for efficient processing.
- Assign prepared fabric lots to corresponding embroidery machines or external embroidery units maintaining clarity and order.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date physical and digital records tracking fabric received, consumed, cut, issued, embroidered returns, damaged pieces, repeats, backups, shortages, wastage, and closing balances.
- Operate and consistently update the Program Assignment Management System to monitor the status of each embroidery program through all stages including assignment, cutting progress, ready-to-embroider status, issuance, returns, repeat pending, and closure.
- Ensure repeats and backup fabric are separately identified and released only with authorization to minimize errors and wastage.
- Reconcile physical fabric stock daily with system records to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Coordinate with fashion designers, digitizing teams, embroidery units, fabric stores, and production teams to ensure seamless workflow and timely fabric supply to embroidery machines.
- Proactively follow up on program progress to avoid embroidery machine downtime due to fabric preparation delays.
- Immediately report any discrepancies such as shortages, excess consumption, shade variations, incorrect cutting, missing bundles, or unexplained waste to prevent production impact.
- Manage multiple embroidery programs simultaneously without mixing up quantities, colors, or fabric lots by applying strong organization and attention to detail.
- Ensure compliance with production deadlines by maintaining responsible and organized management of fabric preparation activities.
