Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify pest issues using hand tools, ladders, and farm machinery as needed
- Apply pest control chemicals safely and effectively following pesticide management protocols, including chemical agent handling and pesticide application knowledge
- Utilize ladder safety procedures and confined space entry safety procedures to access hard-to-reach areas for treatment
- Implement integrated pest management strategies to develop customized solutions that minimize chemical use while maximizing effectiveness
- Operate company vehicles responsibly, adhering to all safety protocols during outdoor work, lawn care, farming, landscaping, or agricultural tasks
- Engage customers with professional sales techniques, explaining treatment plans and promoting ongoing pest control services
- Maintain detailed records of pesticide applications, chemical inventories, and safety protocol adherence for compliance purposes
- Go to restaurants and get sales
- Build a route in an area where the company does not currently have work by walking into places and handing out business cards and getting sales
- Go to property management places and get sales
Requirements
- Prior experience in pest control, pest control chemical handling, or related outdoor work such as lawn care, farming, or landscaping is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, ladder use, farm machinery, and company vehicle operation are advantageous
- Knowledge of entomology (the study of insects), pesticide management, and integrated pest management principles is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols rigorously, including respiratory protection and confined space entry safety procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build trust with clients
- Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions with a focus on safety and precision is essential
