Role Description The Experienced Registered Nurse, Emergency Department is a full-time, on-site role located in Miami, FL. This role provides direct, patient-centered emergency nursing care, including triage, assessment, implementation of treatment plans, and continuous monitoring of patients with acute and critical conditions. The nurse collaborates closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care, administer medications and interventions, interpret clinical data, and respond rapidly to changes in patient status. Daily responsibilities include documenting care in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards, supporting patient and family education, and participating in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. The role also involves mentoring less experienced nurses, adhering to infection control protocols, and contributing to a culture of compassion, professionalism, and teamwork in a high-acuity environment.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Nursing and Patient Care, with the ability to deliver safe, compassionate, and culturally sensitive care in a fast-paced setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in Emergency Nursing, including triage, rapid assessment, and stabilization of diverse emergency and trauma patients.
- Knowledge of Medicine and Critical Care Medicine principles relevant to emergency and acute care, including interpretation of diagnostic results and implementation of evidence-based interventions.
- Associate's degree in nursing is required. BSN is preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
- Minimum of 1–3 years of recent emergency department experience preferred.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations, prioritize multiple tasks, and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills; commitment to ongoing professional development.
