FirstLight Home Care is currently hiring Part-Time Caregivers / Home Care Aides who are interested in earning additional income with flexible scheduling.
Compensation:
$20–$25 per hour
Service Area:
Alameda County, mainly focused in Alameda, Oakland, Berkeley, San Leandro, Fremont, Livermore.
Available Shifts - MUST HAVE OPEN AVAILABILITY M-F 9am-3pm at minimum to be considered. MUST HAVE WEEKEND AVAILABILITY! PLUS IF YOU HAVE HOYER LIFT AND GAIT BELT EXPERIENCE!
- Part-time opportunities
- Morning shifts: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Weekdays and weekends)
- 4–6 hour daytime shifts available throughout the week and weekend

Minimum Qualifications
- Active Home Care Aide (HCA) registration in the State of California
- At least 1 year of caregiving experience (in-home care experience preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with valid insurance
- Current TB test or screening
- Ability to pass a background check
- Two forms of valid identification
- Willingness to travel within our service area (Alameda County) and not limited to certain cities
Caregiver Duties
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with personal care, including bathing and dressing
- Help with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands
- Offer medication reminders
- Support mobility and ensure client safety
- Potential to help clients with Hoyer Lift or Sit and Stand preferred

Please note: While we aim to help caregivers build their schedules, full-time hours cannot be guaranteed. We work to increase hours over time by matching caregivers with additional clients or offering new shifts as they become available. This process can take time, and we appreciate your patience. Please also be willing to go to multiple cities; we will not be able to accommodate caregivers with limited availability and distance requirements.
