About the role

Job Description As an Exp Quality Engineering Technician at Honeywell, you will ensure product quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction throughout the manufacturing process. Working closely with Quality Engineering team, you will support quality assurance activities, resolve quality issues, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and lead quality personnel.

You will be responsible for product inspections, testing, quality data analysis, KPI reporting, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions. You will ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and internal requirements while supporting the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS), reporting directly to a Quality Engineer.

This position requires strong technical expertise in electronics manufacturing, leadership capabilities, and a data-driven approach to quality improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, tests, and measurements to verify compliance with engineering specifications, customer requirements, and industry standards.
  • Investigate quality issues, support root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Calculate, analyze, and communicate key quality metrics including FPY, PPM, DPMO, Scrap, Rework, RMAs, etc.
  • Develop and maintain quality dashboards, scorecards, and reports that provide actionable insights to manufacturing, engineering, and leadership teams.
  • Identify quality trends and lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality and operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and maintain accurate quality documentation and records.
  • Support internal, external, customer, and certification audits.
  • Verify product conformity using appropriate measurement and test equipment.
  • Lead and coordinate Quality Inspectors by providing daily direction, coaching, training, workload prioritization, and technical support.
  • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Quality Leadership

Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE

  • Technical Degree, Associate Degree, or equivalent certification in Quality, Electronics, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality roles within the electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Experience leading, supervising, coordinating, or mentoring personnel in a manufacturing or quality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic assembly manufacturing processes, including SMT, PTH, conformal coating, depanelization, mechanical assembly, ICT/FCT testing, X-Ray, and packaging operations
  • Experience calculating and reporting quality metrics such as FPY, PPM, DPMO, Scrap.
  • Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and chart creation.
  • Experience using measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, multimeters, LCR meters, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and ANSI/ESD S20.20.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills

WE VALUE

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 80079-34, or similar Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience in a high-mix, low-volume electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of SPC, Cp/Cpk, Pareto Analysis, Trend Analysis, and Control Charts.
  • Experience with Power BI, Minitab, or other reporting and statistical analysis tools.
  • Experience in employee training, coaching, and development.
  • English proficiency
