PRAN Group is looking for Executive (Perishable Sourcing)

Job Description / Responsibility

• Identify and source perishable items such as vegetables, fruits, and fish from local markets, farms, and direct suppliers.
• Ensure sourcing at the most competitive price while maintaining quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, wholesalers, and suppliers to create multiple sourcing options.
• Ensure all sourced items are fresh, hygienic, and meet company standards before delivery to outlets.
• Regularly visit local bazaars, farming fields, and wholesale hubs to identify the best sourcing opportunities.
• Negotiate with farmers and wholesalers to secure the best deals for bulk purchases.
• Ensure on-time delivery of products to outlets or distribution points.
• Maintain proper records of sourcing, pricing trends, and supplier details. Provide regular updates to the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager.
• Work in different regions of Bangladesh as per company needs to ensure supply coverage.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor/Honors

Experience Requirements

• At most 2 year(s)
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
• Retail Store
• Freshers are also encouraged to apply.

Additional Requirements

• Experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or field buying (experience in perishable items preferred).Strong knowledge of local markets, farming areas, and seasonal products.
• Negotiation and bargaining skills to secure best prices.
• Ability to travel extensively and work in different regions of Bangladesh.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with farmers and suppliers.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Word for reporting.
• Strong market knowledge of perishable items.
• Relationship-building with farmers and wholesalers.
• Cost-conscious and target-oriented.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different environments.
• Integrity and commitment to ensuring quality for customers.
