The Hampton Inn Traverse City is hiring an experienced Housekeeping Inspector / Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team and ensure every guest room and public area meets Hilton brand cleanliness standards. This is a leadership role for candidates who are detail-driven, experienced, and committed to excellence in hotel housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed inspections of guest rooms and ensure rooms are guest-ready
- Clean rooms as needed during high occupancy or staffing shortages
- Inspect public areas (lobbies, hallways, stairwells) for cleanliness and presentation
- Lead, train, and coach housekeeping staff to meet Hilton brand standards
- Monitor productivity and prioritize room turnovers efficiently
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate with maintenance staff
- Maintain accurate inspection logs and daily reports
- Ensure housekeeping carts, supply rooms, and storage areas are organized and fully stocked
Qualifications:
- Previous Inspector or Supervisor experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of hotel cleanliness standards and inspection procedures
- Ability to lead, coach, and motivate staff effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs
- Dependable, professional, and guest-focused
