About The Role
The Sales Executive, Food Services is responsible for driving sales growth and managing customer accounts across the Food Services channel in the Klang Valley region. This role delivers direct business impact by acquiring new clients, deepening existing customer relationships, and executing targeted sales strategies that build brand loyalty and generate sustainable revenue growth.
What You Will Deliver
Identify new sales opportunities across assigned territories and develop competitive strategies and tactical plans, including bundled offers and customized proposals, to strengthen market position
Gather market intelligence and contribute to Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis by tracking competitor activities, food trends, and relevant industry developments
Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders including Executive Chefs, Pastry Chefs, Food and Beverage (F&B) Managers, and Research and Development (R&D) Managers to drive brand loyalty and business sustainability
Provide business direction, guidance, and training to Sub-Distributors and Wholesalers to strengthen channel performance and capability
Conduct product demonstrations, menu creation sessions, and blind testing with customers to drive product conversion and brand switching
Achieve sales targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) consistently across assigned accounts to contribute to sustainable revenue growth
Research and report on market, competitor, and customer data to generate actionable insights that support negotiations and informed business decisions, ensuring data is collected within required timelines
Ensure timely collection of accounts receivable from trade customers in accordance with stipulated payment terms and company collection targets
Ensure timely product delivery while maintaining product freshness and availability to meet customer expectations at all times
Drive continuous self-development in Food Services knowledge and DKSH values to strengthen personal performance and professional growth
Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required
What You Bring
Diploma or Degree in Culinary, Bakery, Hospitality, or a related discipline
Minimum one to two years of experience in a similar role; experience in sales with exposure to the Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering (HORECA) sector is highly desirable
Basic knowledge and understanding of the industry, market landscape, competitors, and customers
Solid knowledge of assigned territories, products, and services, with strong selling skills
Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders effectively
Basic research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and support business decisions
Proficiency in office productivity tools including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Fluency in the local language and, ideally, in English, both written and spoken
