Executive Director

About This Role

Leading an established Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Pennsylvania's desirable Main Line region, this Executive Director role requires exceptional senior living leadership, sound judgment, strong clinical accountability, and the ability to earn the trust of residents, families, and care providers. The position provides leadership over Personal Care/Assisted Living and Memory Care within a broader Life Plan community offering Independent Living and Skilled Nursing. It suits an accomplished senior living leader who combines a deep understanding of resident care and regulatory compliance with financial discipline, leadership presence, and personal commitment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with licensed clinical leaders to oversee care delivery, resident assessments, service planning, changes in condition, and appropriate transitions between levels of care
• Maintain inspection readiness, lead preparation for regulatory reviews, address findings, and ensure corrective actions produce sustained improvement
• Hold teams accountable for medication management processes, infection prevention, falls prevention, incident response, documentation, and resident rights
• Recruit, coach, and retain capable department leaders; establish clear expectations; and build a culture of compassion, communication, and accountability
• Manage budgets, labor, expenses, and operating results while aligning staffing and resources with resident needs
• Maintain a visible presence, communicate clearly, resolve concerns promptly, and build lasting trust
• Partner with sales and referral teams to support appropriate admissions, resident retention, and responsible occupancy growth
• Coordinate care, dining, housekeeping, maintenance, and resident programming to deliver a consistent, thoughtful experience

Requirements

• Successful leadership experience as an Executive Director, Administrator, or comparable senior leader in regulated senior living
• Direct responsibility for resident care, nursing/wellness, health services, or clinical operations, supported by clear examples of accountability and results
• Experience leading regulatory survey or inspection preparation, responding to findings, and implementing corrective action
• Strong knowledge of Personal Care/Assisted Living and Memory Care operations, including staffing, documentation, resident safety, and dementia care
• Demonstrated strength in P&L management, budgeting, labor management, and department leader development
• Judgment to address complex care concerns, communicate effectively with families, and support clinical teams through difficult decisions
• Meet the Pennsylvania administrator qualifications applicable to this position
• Authorized to work in the United States
