Role Description
The Executive Chef role is a full-time, on-site position located in Gillette, WY. This role is responsible for leading all culinary operations, including menu development, scratch cooking execution, and ensuring the use of fresh, seasonal, responsibly sourced ingredients. The Executive Chef oversees kitchen staff scheduling, training, and performance, while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, safety, and sanitation. Daily responsibilities include managing inventory and food costs, coordinating with dining and service teams to deliver excellent guest experiences, and aligning culinary offerings with client expectations and Unidine’s standards. The Executive Chef also collaborates with management to support special events, implement new dining initiatives, and continuously improve culinary processes.
Qualifications
- Strong culinary expertise, including scratch cooking, menu planning, and familiarity with fresh, seasonal, responsibly sourced ingredients.
- Proven kitchen leadership experience, including staff supervision, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and regulatory compliance in professional kitchen environments.
- Experience managing food and labor costs, inventory control, and vendor relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, team members, and leadership.
- Ability to work on-site in Gillette, WY, and adapt to the needs of senior living, healthcare, or corporate dining settings.
- Culinary degree, certification, or equivalent professional experience in a high-volume or healthcare-related environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality dining experiences and supporting a customer-focused culture.
