Position Overview:
- Responsible for daily cleaning and sanitizing of patient rooms and all other corresponding unit areas.
- Will follow prescribed departmental cleaning standards in conjunction with infection control and safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Sweeps, dust mops, and wet mops.
- Vacuums, spot cleans walls, cleans glass / ledges.
- Sanitizes patient room surfaces, sanitizes bathrooms.
- Performs discharge cleaning of patient rooms.
- Cleans equipment and notifies the supervisor or lead person of equipment requiring repair.
- Reports safety hazards to supervisor or lead person.
- Collects trash from patient rooms, nurses' stations, ancillary areas.
- Pulls trash outside around the grounds of the facility.
- Cleans and sanitizes ancillary areas.
- Assists in cleaning of emergency spills observed or reported.
- Performs any other tasks which may be assigned by the supervisor or lead person.
Qualifications:
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Good communication skills.
- Capable of operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, housekeeping carts, etc.
- 3 months - 1 year of environmental services experience in a hospital.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED (preferred).
- Follow oral and written instructions.
Shift: N ight 5x8-Hour (23:00 - 07:30 AM); Duration: 18 weeks
Pay Rate: $19.33 / Hour
