Event Planner

About This Role

An experienced and highly organized Part-Time Event Planner is sought to plan and coordinate corporate meetings, conferences, and large-scale events. The role involves taking full ownership of each event from the first planning steps to the final wrap-up, while managing several events, shifting priorities, and tight deadlines at once.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate corporate events, conferences, meetings, workshops, and training sessions
• Manage all event logistics, including venues, catering, audiovisual equipment, registration, travel, and vendor coordination
• Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, federal and state agency representatives, and internal teams
• Track event timelines, budgets, vendor contracts, and deliverables to keep each event on schedule and within budget
• Lead on-site setup and execution and resolve issues quickly as they come up

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience planning and managing corporate events
• Experience coordinating events for federal, state, and local government agencies
• Proven ability to manage vendors, budgets, schedules, and event logistics
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
• Willingness to travel and support events outside standard business hours
