Event Manager

About This Role

This Event Manager role involves leading the planning and execution of events within a country club environment. The position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys transforming client visions into seamless experiences, working closely with a team of coordinators, chefs, and service staff to deliver exceptional events of all sizes.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and budget
• Develop customized event proposals, timelines, menus, and floor plans
• Oversee the full lifecycle of events, including site inspections, vendor coordination, setup/teardown, and on-site management
• Collaborate with the executive chef and culinary team to create customized menus
• Prepare accurate event budgets, track expenses, negotiate vendor contracts, and ensure profitability
• Direct and coordinate servers, bartenders, setup crews, and other club staff during events
• Provide training and ensure top-tier service aligned with core values
• Maximize use of event spaces and outdoor areas
• Handle logistics for indoor/outdoor setups, capacity planning, and compliance with policies
• Promote event venues through tours, networking, social media, and partnerships
• Assist with lead generation and follow-up to grow bookings
• Conduct client debriefs, gather feedback, and manage billing/invoicing
• Maintain records and relationships for future business
• Support club-wide events as needed
• Collaborate with golf operations, maintenance, and management teams for smooth integration

Requirements

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with event management software, Microsoft Office, and budgeting tools
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• A warm, professional personality and passion for creating memorable experiences

Nice to have:

• 2+ years of event planning experience (preferably in weddings, country clubs, or hospitality)
