About This Role
This ETL Developer role involves building and maintaining robust data pipelines to enable data-driven decisions across teams. The position suits a data engineer with strong ETL design and implementation experience who can work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test scalable ETL processes
- Extract data from a variety of sources, including relational databases, flat files, APIs, and streaming services
- Transform raw datasets into structured, analytics-ready formats
- Load processed data into target data platforms, such as data warehouses or cloud databases
- Implement robust error handling, logging, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure reliability and traceability of ETL workflows
- Continuously optimize ETL pipelines for performance, leveraging techniques such as query optimization, indexing, and parallel processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure accurate and timely delivery of insights
Requirements
- Intermediate or higher level of English (spoken and written)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced, and results-driven environment
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in software development and/or data engineering, with a strong focus on ETL design and implementation
- Quick learner with a proactive mindset, capable of adapting to new technologies and evolving business needs
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Technical Skills
- Programming Languages: Advanced T-SQL (Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Database), Python
- Preferred: C#
- ETL Tools: SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Strong plus: Power BI
- Plus: SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Nice to have: Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks
