Wastwater Treatment Mechanical Estimator

Location: Meridian, NC

Salary Rate: $140,000 - $160,000

Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will play a crucial role in our construction projects by evaluating project specifications, developing cost estimates, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. The ideal candidate will have experience in wastewater and water treatment projects, particularly in the heavy civil construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project specifications and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates for WWTP projects.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to gather relevant data for estimating.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project scope and objectives.
• Prepare and present detailed proposals and bids to clients.
• Monitor project budgets and provide regular updates on cost performance.
• Research and source materials, labor, and equipment costs to enhance estimate accuracy.
• Maintain a database of pricing and cost information for future reference.
• Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably in heavy civil projects.
• Strong knowledge of wastewater and water treatment construction processes.
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
