Senior Estimator – Midstream Pipeline Construction
Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: 40h/week - Mon-Fri
availability to start: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing contract - 1 year renewable
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to support major midstream oil & gas pipeline projects. This position is ideal for a seasoned estimator with strong, hands-on pipeline construction estimating experience who can quickly contribute to capital project planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop conceptual, budgetary, and detailed construction cost estimates.
- Prepare estimates for midstream pipeline and associated facility projects.
- Estimate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and construction costs.
- Review project scope, drawings, specifications, and quantities.
- Support capital project budgeting, forecasting, and estimate reviews.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, procurement, and construction teams.
- Identify cost risks, assumptions, and opportunities throughout project development.
Required Experience:
- 10+ years of construction/capital cost estimating experience preferred.
- Strong direct experience with midstream pipeline construction estimating.
- Experience with transmission or gathering pipelines and related facilities.
- Experience with projects such as pipeline laterals/interconnects, compressor stations, pump stations, meter stations, or hydrotesting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of oil & gas construction methods and project execution.
- Experience with a pipeline operator, EPC/engineering firm, or pipeline construction contractor is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate is a senior estimator with substantial midstream pipeline experience who can hit the ground running and provide reliable estimates for complex capital construction projects.
