This role involves overseeing the entire estate, including buildings, premises, and infrastructure, ensuring their smooth operation and upkeep. It suits a highly experienced professional with a strong background in facilities and infrastructure management, capable of leading a support team and coordinating various projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage the overall estate, buildings, premises, and infrastructure
- Oversee facility maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, civil works, and general upkeep
- Manage security, housekeeping, landscaping, gardening, and external agencies/vendors
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of utilities and essential services
- Plan and supervise preventive and breakdown maintenance
- Coordinate with contractors for civil, electrical, mechanical, and infrastructure projects
- Manage facility-related budgets, AMC contracts, procurement, and vendor negotiations
- Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, environmental, and facility regulations
- Maintain records, asset registers, maintenance schedules, and documentation
- Handle facility expansions, renovations, repairs, and infrastructure development projects
- Ensure workplace and estate standards are maintained across the premises
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, government authorities, contractors, and service providers
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, energy efficiency, and improvement of facility operations
- Lead and manage the estate/facilities support team
Requirements
- 10-20+ years of experience in Estate Management / Facilities Management / Plant Facilities / Infrastructure Management
- Experience managing large industrial campuses, manufacturing plants, estates, factories, or corporate facilities
- Strong exposure to civil, electrical, mechanical utilities, and facility maintenance
- Experience managing vendors, contractors, and outsourced manpower
- Good understanding of facility safety, statutory compliance, and government liaison
- Strong budgeting and project-management exposure
