EPC Project Coordinator

About This Role

This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and controlling project activities to ensure the successful execution of engineering, construction, capital improvement, and maintenance projects. The position supports project teams through budget management, cost forecasting, schedule development, risk analysis, project reporting, and coordination of stakeholders. It plays a key role in developing integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and supporting project controls functions throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead, facilitate, and coordinate project-related activities across multiple departments and stakeholders
• Coordinate and document project meetings, action items, and project deliverables
• Build consensus among project teams regarding decisions that impact project execution and business objectives
• Resolve conflicts and competing priorities among project stakeholders
• Identify project risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies
• Support project managers and leadership teams by providing project status updates and recommendations
• Participate in mentoring and training lower-level project coordinators and schedulers
• Develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules using Primavera P6
• Create resource-loaded schedules and perform resource leveling utilizing Critical Path Methodology (CPM)
• Develop detailed project schedules based on engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance, and outage activities
• Monitor schedule performance and identify schedule risks, delays, and recovery opportunities
• Work closely with planning, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure schedule alignment
• Support the development and analysis of intermediate and complex project and outage schedules
• Manage project budgets utilizing proven cost management techniques
• Track project costs, commitments, accruals, forecasts, and budget performance
• Prepare financial reports and project performance metrics for multiple projects
• Develop and maintain project forecasts and cash flow projections
• Create and manage project work orders
• Analyze project financial performance and recommend corrective actions when necessary
• Apply accounting principles and cost tracking methodologies to support project objectives
• Develop or oversee conceptual and preliminary project cost estimates
• Support planning and engineering teams in developing detailed project estimates
• Assist in project controls functions including forecasting, earned value tracking, budgeting, cost analysis, and reporting
• Evaluate project alternatives and conduct risk assessments to support decision-making
