About the role
Duties
You will:
- Develop, coordinate and implement indoor air and asthma program strategy to improve indoor air quality and reduce the environmental triggers of asthma, particularly in environmental justice communities.
- Evaluation of indoor air and asthma impacts from both indoor sources and urban sources.
- Coordinate indoor air and asthma activities with other programs within Region 9, EPA headquarters, other federal, state and local agencies, and non-governmental organizations that address impacts from indoor air and asthma.
- Manage grants and cooperative agreements with outside organizations, such as states, tribes, non-profit organizations, and other non-governmental organizations, particularly focused on addressing air and asthma.
Qualifications
You do not need a degree to qualify for this position.
We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:
To qualify for the GS-13 level, you need to have at least one year of full time experience equivalent to the GS-12 level defined as handling issues regarding indoor air pollutants that increase the triggers of Asthma and experience developing or administering environmental public health programs related to Indoor Air Quality and Asthma.

- Skill in public speaking.
- Knowledge of grant management and cooperative agreements.
- Ability to cooperate with a wide variety of groups.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
