About the role
This is a site based Environmental Officer position supporting the delivery of a major road and civil infrastructure project. You will work closely with the project management and construction teams, overseeing environmental compliance, contractor performance, environmental documentation and site-based environmental risks throughout the project lifecycle.

The business has a strong track record delivering complex civil projects and offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced project delivery team on a significant regional infrastructure project.
Description
- Monitor environmental performance and compliance across construction activities.
- Conduct environmental inspections, audits, risk assessments and compliance reviews.
- Provide environmental advice to Project Managers, Engineers and site teams.
- Liaise with regulators, consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
- Prepare environmental reporting and compliance documentation.
- Support environmental training, inductions and toolbox talks
Profile
- 5+ years' environmental experience within civil infrastructure, road construction or major projects.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of environmental legislation, approvals and construction environmental management.
- Experience working directly with construction contractors and site delivery teams.
- Strong environmental auditing, compliance and reporting experience.
- TfNSW road project experience would be highly regarded.
- Current Australian driver's licence
Job Offer
- $120,000 - $150,000 base + super, depending on experience.
