Entry Level Supply Chain Coordinator

About This Role

This entry-level role involves managing purchased material requirements to ensure availability while maintaining appropriate inventory levels. It focuses on supporting customer needs and inventory administration within the supply chain team.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain material planning methods and safety stock strategies
• Understand and monitor delivery/response times, forecasting methods, and the subcontracting process, in accordance with assigned products and services, complying with materials and demand planning guidelines
• Execute and monitor purchase orders according to demand signals for assigned products, from placing orders until product delivery, ensuring correct material is delivered to the right place at the right time
• Monitor material shortages tools, adjusting delivery schedules with suppliers as needed, according to inventory availability and demand signals
• Communicate shortages or risk of shortages to customers
• Monitor inventory levels and tools to disposition inactive, obsolete, or excess inventory following materials and demand planning guidelines

Requirements

• Degree required
• Currently attending a 4-year accredited university/college
• Minimum 2.8/4.0 GPA

Nice to have:

• Previous supply chain internship and/or work experience
• Strong initiative, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Leadership involvement in student associations
• Competence in data analytics
