Responsibilities
Optician
- Assist customers with the selection of spectacles, frames and lenses.
- Interpret prescriptions and recommend suitable lens options based on customer needs.
- Take measurements and perform spectacle fitting and adjustments.
- Conduct basic fitting, repair and maintenance of spectacles.
- Assist with contact lens sales and provide basic usage and care guidance where qualified.
- Explain optical products, lens features and aftercare services to customers.
Optometrist
- Conduct eye examinations, vision assessments and basic eye health checks.
- Assess customers’ visual needs and provide appropriate recommendations.
- Prescribe suitable spectacles and contact lenses where applicable.
- Recommend suitable lenses, frames and optical products based on customers’ requirements.
- Explain the exam.
- Perform contact lens fitting and provide guidance on proper usage and care.
Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Optometry/Opticianry or equivalent qualification are welcome to apply.

Registered with the Optometrists and Opticians Board (OOB); pre-registered candidates are welcome to apply.

Able to work weekends and public holidays according to retail schedule.
