About the role
The Associate Healthcare Care Consultant (Associate HCC) is an entry-level business development professional responsible for supporting referral growth efforts through relationship development, community outreach, and customer engagement activities. Working alongside experienced sales and operational leaders, the Associate HCC learns consultative selling techniques, healthcare referral development strategies, and market planning fundamentals while serving as a positive representative of the organization's mission, values, and commitment to patient care.
This role is designed for individuals seeking to build a career in healthcare sales and business development. The Associate HCC receives structured coaching, mentorship, and field training to develop the skills necessary for future advancement into a Healthcare Care Consultant (HCC) role.
Compensation may vary within the salary range provided based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate's geographic location, experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, internal equity, and department equity. Gentiva provides associates with a comprehensive Total Rewards package, of which base pay is just one component.
Salary Range: 47,000/YR - 51,000/YR
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred
- Previous internship, customer service, healthcare, recruiting, hospitality, retail sales, or business development experience.
- Exposure to healthcare, senior care, hospice, home health, or related industries.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through work, athletics, student organizations, or volunteer activities.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to learn consultative sales techniques and apply coaching feedback.
- Self-motivated with a desire to build a career in healthcare sales and business development.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and other business technology tools.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel within assigned territory.
